1 st Manisa Golden Sultanas Short Film Festival will be held November 5-7, 2010. The festival organized by Manisa Municipality and collaboration with Okumuş Adamlar Fikir Atölyesi. 8’den 8’e SAHİLDEKİLER / COASTLANDERS 8 to 8 is selected as finalist for the Category of Documentary.

Coastlanders 8 to 8: As one of the many fortunate residents of Sureyya Pasha neighborhood back in the 70s, I applaud Ms. Unsur for this beautifully layed out and almost “tactile” piece, taking me back to my childhood’s colorful summer days. It is a wonderful nostalgique journey of 14 minutes, exuding sensitivity and mastery in storytelling. I’m looking forward to her upcoming works as her flawless style in raw sincerity becomes a staple for all of us, documentary connoisseurs. Cheers to Ms. Unsur.
